Think! What would it be like to capture the raw reality of traveling on horseback across three countries? How does one cope with the challenges of crossing the Himalaya in the middle of Winter? Nobody speaks English up here. Life is harsh and real education can make a difference to people's lives. Can you imagine it? Well please don't. One can see this all on film.

Filming in the Karakorum PhotographThis documentary is about a personal journey to make a difference to peoples live's as much as it is to Stephen's own. It was begun late 2004 in India with the Indian producers 25th Frame Productions, who also filmed that section of the journey. People like to live in their imagination whilst forgetting the reality of real life. This documentary has exceeded even the wildest expectations of everyone involved so far. The aim is to produce a 52 minute film on a unique mission - if you've read this website you'll already have an idea of the possibilities involved! This film could easily evolve into a three part serial thanks to the professionalism of those involved in its production so far.

The plains of India, the baked ice mountains of Pakistan , the parched deserts of China . Think the harsh poverty of life in these regions and the mission to bring an education to those who can benefit the most.

Most people in the West have no idea what places like Pakistan and China are really like. I hope I can take them out of their armchairs and really make them feel like they are in the saddle.

Riding for Education (R4E) was filmed in India by the expertise of 25th Frame Productions and by Pakistan Television Network (PTV) across Pakistan . The rawness of life on horseback has vividly been captured on Mini DV Pro and DVC formats in both countries. We are now looking for distribution partners to take this further and broadcast this worldwide.

For more information contact 25th Frame Productions below or Stephen McCutcheon here. Conquering the world on horseback is a not a unique vision but one only undertaken by the few. It answers our dreams in the West and gives dreams to those who need them.
